Bob the Robber, a.k.a Robert Thornley

Bob is a New Jersey/ New York based music photographer. Starting at the age of 17, Bob started shooting small local venues and quickly rose in the music scene to shoot for the likes of Fivio Foreign, Lil Uzi, Kanye West, Trippier Redd, Roddy Rich among other prominent Hip-Hop artists.

Bob found his love for photography by looking at and trying to imitate the styles of some of his 90s based idols, such as Chi Modu and Estevan Oriol and seeing the grainy and raw photos of the New York punk scene. He soon began to shoot on polaroids and vintage film cameras before switching to a Canon 5D Mark III shortly after.

Known for his underground and 90s nostalgic style, Bob soon caught the eye of many of the local artists and touring companies in the tri-state area. This would eventually lead to him joining NJ based touring company “Lyf and Friends” as one of the head tour photographers on their team. This merging led to his reputation growing even larger in the rap community and soon led him to gaining the moniker “The Underground King” based on his contribution and notoriety in the underground community.

Touring the country has led him to do several big tours with Coi Leray, DC the Don, Lil Xan, Steve Cannon, Dom Corleo, Rich Amiri as well as many up and coming artists. Many of these shows and tours have gone on to be published in magazines and platforms around the world such as Billboard Argentina, Complex, The Source, Fader, 4got10 Magazine and Modern Life Magazine.
